Watching the London Marathon back in April, I decided that I wanted to run a big race myself. So I came into work on Monday morning and told Rich (as well as everyone listening!) that I'd been inspired to take on the Great South Run. It was either the start of a brilliant idea, or a very silly one, but now - over 5 months later - I'm looking at taking on 10 miles on Sunday 22nd October.
I'll be running, along with an amazing team of Heart listeners, for Global's Make Some Noise. It's a fantastic charity, helping small projects throughout the UK and right here on the South Coast. This year, one of the charities we're supporting is 'Simon Says', who provide bereavement support to children & young people. They're an amazing local charity, quite literally changing lives as they provdie support for families at the toughest time they'll ever face.
Any money you can give will really make a difference - and help me on 22nd October as I try to get around the Great South Run course. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot.
